ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY / DIAGNOSTIC MEDICAL SONOGRAPHY

Unlike any other school...

  •  At LAMIC, we are committed to providing specialized educational opportunities that lead to rewarding careers in the field of ultrasound. As the only school exclusively focused on ultrasound—it's all we do—we emphasize the critical importance of hands-on experience. Our program offers you the flexibility to specialize in one of two tracks: General Sonography or Adult Echocardiography. Both tracks are designed with the same comprehensive curriculum length and share foundational courses such as General Education and Ultrasound Physics. We foster a supportive and interactive learning environment, encouraging students to participate in in-person ultrasound scanning labs, where you can bring family and friends to practice your skills. Our goal is to ignite a lifelong passion for learning while equipping you with the expertise needed for a successful career in ultrasound.

CARDIAC SONOGRAPHER Track 1

  • A Cardiac Sonographer, also known as an Echocardiographer, is a specialized healthcare professional who uses ultrasound technology to create detailed images of the heart and its structures. These images, known as echocardiograms, help physicians assess heart function, diagnose cardiac conditions, and guide treatment plans. Cardiac Sonographers work closely with patients, ensuring they are comfortable while capturing precise images that are essential for accurate diagnosis and effective management of heart-related health issues. They play a crucial role in cardiovascular care, contributing to the overall health and well-being of patients.
